Gullak.Money is a one-of-a-kind fintech startup which enables and motivates individuals to get into the habit of saving money, on a regular basis, for achieving some long-term financial goals. This kind of unique initiative needs special testing support and Moolya is delighted to be a part of this venture. Considering the fact that Gullak.Money is a startup they mostly prioritized their software development process, in the initial phase, in order to bring in new features on a regular basis. However, there was a significant need for comprehensive testing support.
Moolya had worked with Juspay for their platform and Manthan who was part of Juspay at that time saw the potential in us. As they say “Good work brings more Good Work” , Manthan and his co-founders trusted us and that's how we started serving Gullak.Money. Gullak.Money offered Moolya a chance to take a complete test ownership of their project. Initially two Moolyan test engineers were working in tandem with the development team to prevent the bugs in accordance with Moolya’s value of testing. “The folks grasped the concept from day one and we generated a sense of urgency from the very onset of the project. This had actually enabled Gullak.Money to initiate the Beta release within the stipulated deadline”, stated Priyadarshini Kumar, Associate Test Manager, Moolya.
Since the initial phase of development was not backed by proper testing support, there were plenty of existing undetected bugs in the system. In order to combat that initial crisis the two test engineers of Moolya in the form of Amol Mishra and Swapnil Pawar had proactively created a war room where they had invited the development team also and individually had sought out all the existing bugs and fixed them. “Both Amol and Swapnil had shown great resilience and a passion to learn. For this project they learned JMeter and quickly took charge of the performance testing of the app”, added Priyadarshini enthusiastically. One after another, they did the bug verification and closed the tickets. In a remarkable feat they, along with the development team, had closed 92 tickets in a single day.
This value addition in the form of preventing bugs and taking ownership has enabled Gullak.Money to go ahead with their Beta release. “As Gullak.Money is a startup it was easier for the testers and developers to sit and go through each of the existing bugs individually. At the same time it also helped in gaining the confidence of the Gullak.Money team which I guess will encourage the testers to take more ownership and show more proactiveness in the long run”, hoped Priyadarshini.
