Started in 2016, Kuvera is the first Indian completely free investment management platform which also provides loans for investment security. With an aim of becoming a leader in wealth management, Kuvera has built a mobile application for android and iOS to support its business flows. Moolya became a part of Kuvera’s story as they realized the need for expert hands in testing to solve the problems they were facing with current Ad-hoc release cycles. Hence they planned to onboard a testing team to help them achieve smoother and quality releases.

Kuvera is a fast-growing product in the “finserv” (financial services) domain and needed domain knowledge to analyze the quality of the product. The team needed to be aligned with the testing cycles & add necessary efforts to build regular release cycles.  

Initially, we realized a dedicated environment with test data for testing the application was missing. Moreover, regression testing was time-consuming due to third-party dependencies.

We started by understanding the overall business view and roadmap. Initiated the process of exploring the production application and discussed the challenges with the Kuvera Team.

We aimed to set up a process in place and also made necessary improvements. At the same time automation was being introduced in order to reduce manual efforts and increase test coverage in the shortest time.

It was indeed an enriching learning experience as the testers got a scope to up-skill themselves and supported the team with deeper test coverage at API and server levels. Like for instance the test coverage encompassed the Server Logs, API Testing & Cache Checks. 

Detailed bug logging helped developers to fix issues quicker & hence saved debugging time, which was all managed and executed on Bugasura.

With the support of the overall automation new changes in the applications were quickly understood thereby enabling Kuvera to launch the necessary updates smoothly.
