Jupiter

A new way to the bank
Since Jupiter is a neo bank aimed at the millennial and the GenZ consumers their initial requirement was to get some test engineers onboard who have the same mindset and vision for the app.

Considering the very nature of the industry, Jupiter wanted the test engineers at Moolya to take full ownership of the product and view it from the perspective of the end-users. This mutual trust and shared responsibilities have brought in success in various forms and shapes.

The Opportunity

Jupiter is indeed a very dynamic app releasing some amazing features almost every week.

One of the biggest features, that recently went live, is definitely the Auto-Pay system. This feature allows the users to make automatic payments to their friends, families, and the merchants using online bank transfers and Jupiter debit cards.

The homepage design also got altered due to the recent change. However, it was initially done on an edge case scenario. But unfortunately it was showing mixed design which might have confused the end users. Exploratory Tester, Megha J, was quick to identify the issue thereby helping in the prevention of the bug.

The Work

“I think the biggest takeaway from this project is that we all work together as a team”, emphasized Prateek Mathur, Senior Exploratory Tester.

For the latest release the entire team came together for a QA bug bash focused on the new auto-pay system. Before the feature went Live the team raised essential bugs and improvement suggestions within the stipulated deadline.

“I work on the homepage and the rewards module of the Jupiter app. So when the new Referrals Feature went Live I tried to cover as many test cases as possible to check whether any new users are having any issues whilst downloading the app via the referral link and whether the reward points are being adequately added”, pointed out Megha J.

The Impact

Backed by deep testing support and bug prevention strategy the auto-pay system now shows both positive and negative flows and the end-users can now make direct payments with merchants like Amazon, Myntra, Ola, Uber, Dunzo, Swiggy, Zomato, and Flipkart.
