TataCliq, a well-known brand amongst Indian e-commerce consumers, has already captured the imagination of millions. However, understanding the present gap that existed within the system and with an aim to enhance customer experience, TataCliq decided to make Moolya a part of their story.

One-of-a-Kind Engagement

Moolya’s engagement with TataCliq was one-of-a-kind. It was not a regular QA support but it was about enhancing the overall user experience at a holistic level. Moolyan test engineers, with extensive experience in handling e-commerce projects, undertook the responsibilities of various modules pertaining to TataCliq.

Offering a Solution

The overall aim of the project was to obtain an improved product experience as an output and think beyond the traditional scope of testing.

Divide and Conquer

Moolya focused on the end-to -end enhancement of the TataCliq Marketplaces like TataCliq and TataCliq Luxury. Each of the testers were assigned a separate module like Customer Experience (CSE) Search and Catalogue, Supply Chain module , Lower Funnel (Payment module) and the Customer Service module.

A Holistic Competitor Analysis

Some of the ways in which the team worked on a better user experience was by testing the Competitor apps, the usability and navigation were thoroughly studied and the gaps started getting visible. The team started working on the use cases and each user interaction was scrutinized for efficiency and fast response.

“It was not just Testing per se. But we learnt a lot in this project. We analysed the competitor applications. We  evaluated the existing systems.Connected with various product and technical nodes to understand pain points and started to work for improving the pain point by providing suggestive improvements”, elaborates Roshni Ramesh, Senior ET.

Understanding User Experience

“Apart from this, the team worked closely with the tech team at Tata Cliq to understand their flows and experience while handling the App traffic and users. In a way we were Streamlining and creating a better experience for the service owners and the users”, added Abilash N, AVP, Pre-Sales.

The testers also worked closely with the tech team at Tata Cliq on real time tracking of functionalities, creating bug reports and preventing bugs for major issues. They also studied the user behavior and interaction to improve the existing workflow.

Outcome

Moolya’s Business Analysis in testing played a part in the enhancement of the overall user experience journey of the app while it aided in the incorporation of new features too. The analysis also played a role in the development of Tata Neu amongst other e-commerce apps in the same umbrella.

Backed with an unquenchable urge of aligning testing with the demands of the market, the business analyst testers of Moolya are honoured to be part of the TataCliq story.

TataCLiQ has an omni-channel marketplace model that combines online and offline shopping, to offer a "first-of-its-kind ‘phygital’ (physical + digital) shopping experience". Tata CliQ offers the consumer a new shopping experience across categories such as Fashion, Footwear, Accessories, and Beauty.It has exclusive deals with 13 brands, including Hugo Boss, Armani Jeans, Coach, Furla, Michael Kors, and Armani Exchange. Further, domestic brands such as Croma, Zudio, and Okhai are also available only on TataCLiQ (besides their own websites).
